9.5.2019 Wild Herb Foraging Workshop, Helsinki (ENGLISH)

There are enormous amounts of superfood growing in the nearby forests of Helsinki Capital Region – wild and free!

We welcome you to learn about Finnish wild herbs and vegetables. We take you to visit the beautiful Northern nature of ours and teach you to identify the most common and delicious wild foods. In addition, the attendees will learn how to use wild herbs in cooking and get a handout about the common wild herbs to their e-mail after the workshop.

The attendants will also learn different plant stories, their nutritional values, their folklore, mystery and history. A minimum of 15 edible wild plants are usually covered.

A Helsinki Wildfoods workshop in English will be held in beautiful Mustikkamaa park area on Thursday 9th of May from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. We'll meet up at REDI, in front of Ruohonjuuri on the floor K1 at 5.30. If you have trouble finding the place, call 045 1664270. Bring your own paper bag or basket.

The foraging adventure is led by licensed natural herb counsellor Pauliina Toivanen.

Includes a snack in the nature and an e-book that will be sent afterwards to the attendants' e-mail addresses.

The attendants can also purchase our book Villiyrtit – hyvinvointia kotikulmilta (WSOY, 2017) with a special price 15€/book (normally 24,90€) when bought together with the course. The book is in Finnish.
